How Dr. Avi Weisfogel has Transformed The Perspective on Sleep Apnea

Dr. Avi Weisfogel, a well-known sleep apnea specialist and dentist, has developed a way that can help patients deal with effects of sleep deprivation. While most sleep apnea patients always choose to visit a general doctor to have their condition examined and maybe get prescription, dentists like Avi have come up with the most effective treatment for the condition using dentistry techniques. For several years, Avi has had a vision of the possibilities that could be transformed into a reality through his area of specialization. He cultivated his desire and commitment to help provide a lasting solution for sleep disorders after interacting with one of his patients.

Since his early days as a dentist, Avi has been focusing on treating sleep patients. His keen interest in the business and marketing for dentists motivated him to join most of the marketing organizations available under dentistry. No matter how successful Avi became at full mouth rehabs and marketing implants, he could not find a productive marketing strategy that contributed to a steady stream of oral appliance patients. This changed when he left his general practice in 2010 to start a company committed to sleep disorders.

Though it cost him millions of dollar and took two years to complete, Avi developed a system that generated between 250 and 300 oral patients every month. He has been promoting this system over the recent years, and has now embarked on developing Dental Sleep Masters program. Through this program, he hopes to reach more physicians, patients, and dentists with the model that can enhance the healthcare in the field of sleep medicine. Apart from his medical practice, Avi is a recognized philanthropist who donates a sizable portion if his profits and time to charity. He is always watchful to take every opportunity that can enable him learn, improve, and enlarge his practice while boosting his performance.

Dick Devos – Education’s Top Defender

Dick DeVos has received lots of criticism and attention has his wife became the Secretary of Education for the Trump administration. However their political contributions are outmatched by their charitable contributions which add up to almost $139 million over their lifetimes. The Devoses are from West Michigan and were previously questioned about their foundation.

In 2015, the DeVos family financially contributed more than $11 million to a variety of charitable organizations, according to a document published on the Dick and Betsy DeVos Family Foundation website. That is more than double what they have given in campaign donations over the last five years. The Devoses are a part of a family dynasty that has been a key player in Republican politics for decades. Dick Devos’ dad is Amway co-founder Rich DeVos. Rich and his four adult children have given out $104 million in charitable contributions in 2015, taking 24th place in Forbe’s latest America’s Top Givers list. After analyzing data offered up by the Devos’ family, Forbes has recorded the Devos family lifetime giving at $1 billion. Betsy DeVos is also from a family known for its political giving.

Both Dick and Betsy have made education a priority. The Devos couple has given over $3 million to educational causes, which was nearly 26 percent of their charitable donations made this year. Their foundation also awarded $357,000 to groups that support education reform. Dick Devos says their contributions reflects the priority they have given to rebuilding education. The DeVoses are strong supporters of vouchers and charter schools, which critics say take away tax dollars from public schools. The DeVos want to address the failing of the one-size-fits-all public education platform.

The official report listed Compass College of Cinematic Arts, Ferris State University, Detroit Charter School Company New Urban Learning, Northwood University, Potter’s House, West Michigan Aviation Academy and Rehoboth Christian School, as the top beneficiaries for 2013. The Devos’ foundation does not list a breakdown for their 2014 tax return. Liberal critics say the Devos’ family are using their political and philanthropic giving to pursue a ideological agenda in education. Devos’ spokesman John Truscott says the report shows the family’s attempts to be more transparent about their contributions.

Dick DeVos also supports an art competition in Grand Rapids every year, since 2009. In 2012 Betsy and Dick contributed $22.5 million to the Kennedy Center Institute of Arts Management. Dick is also an adovcate of free-market economics and has contributed to organizations that support free-market economics including the Heritage Foundation and the Hudson Institute. In 2008, the Devos family established an annual scholarship that support MA, MS, MBA students at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, specifically those from third-world countries. Dick Devos continue to help strengthen the education system.

Life as a litigation lawyer

The majority of a dispute attorneys work for law companies that hire many lawyers, where some may be working for a boutique company or run a private practice. Note that the majority of government hired litigators work in criminal law as district lawyers and prosecutors.

Some organizations are big enough such that they hire their litigation lawyers and evident in many well-established banks, insurance companies other financial institutions.

Duties of a civil litigation lawyer

Once a litigator gets a new case, they must start with investigative work. They will start by the collection of documents like witness statements, and also collect medical reports or proof to strengthen the case. It is the duty of the attorney and legal officials to strive and get all the relevant information. Once they have the required details, civil litigators will contact the legal representative of the other party and try to settle the case. Cleaning Up a Prison Using Securus Technologies

Our prison has recently had a huge influx of drugs getting into the hands of the inmates, and this has put the entire prison at risk. Inmates who are on drugs are even more dangerous than normal, and our superiors have decided that enough is enough. My team of corrections officers were asked to step up our efforts in the visitor center and with cell inspections, but we were also going to be getting help from a very unlikely source.

Securus Technologies was asked to come to the prison to install their inmate call monitoring system, and it was going to literally transform the way that me and my fellow officers would be gathering information on inmates and their drug usage. Securus Technologies currently has their unique call system in over two thousand jails, and the CEO, Rick Smith, is dedicated to his objective of making the world safe. My team was trained to use the LBS software and we immediately got to work.

One thing that I noticed immediately was this was not a typical call system where you have to sit for hours on the line listening to the inmates. The software does the work of a half-dozen officers, and that allows us to monitor several fronts at the same time in our effort to keep the drugs out of the hands of the inmates.

It wasn’t long before we discovered chatter from the inmates opening doors we never knew we could access. On call directed us to an inmate who was selling prescription drugs he was in receipt of from his visitors. Another call exposed two inmates who were in their cell at night using drugs and hiding the evidence in plain sight. Our efforts even netted us information on who was bringing in drugs to the inmates.

The New York City pop up shop will be called the Hive and it will be getting a single month’s lease — at least to start. The location has been called the Hive and it will feature all of the charm and on message branding that Whitney Wolfe wants to get across with Bumble, her feminist dating application. The Hive is fully decked out to look like the hippest get together spot in the area and users are going to be able to go there to hang out, connect, find romance, or merely social network.

Travel Hacks From Kim Dao

Australian vlogger Kim Dao talks about her top ten travel hacks for traveling around in Japan. She first recommends two important ways of getting wifi, no matter where you are. Kim Dao recommends either a pocket wifi device or data sim card. A data sim card is simple enough to get either at the airport or at a large electronic shop and costs about $30 for 5GB of data. Her other recommendation is the battery operated pocket wifi that costs about $100 and has to be bought before going to Japan, but is unlimited and fast. Kim’s second recommendation is a JR pass that is only available for those on a tourist visa. It costs $300 for a week but allows unlimited train use. Kim Dao’s third recommendation is to use Odigo Travel which allows you to completely plan and book your trip to Japan(https://www.odigo.jp/profile/kimdao). Her fourth travel hack is to use train apps or google maps to help you navigate the confusing train system. Kim’s fifth hack is to use a train card that skips the messy system of tickets for different train companies. The sixth recommendation is to always carry cash, as Japan is still heavily cash based(http://www.yummyjapan.net/creator/kimdaovlog). She recommends convenience stores such as 7-11 for withdrawing money. Kim Dao’s seventh tip is to bring a power board so you only need one power adapter when traveling in Japan. Her eighth hack is to rent a car in order to see more of the country which may be inaccessible by train or bus. For the Japanese winter she recommends heat packs which stick on clothes and help you stay warm all day. Kim’s last hack is to take a photo of your destination in order to show locals when you get lost.Learn more : https://www.pinterest.com/kimdaoblog
